The guys returned back to the hotel to meet us but they were not complete in numbers,
“Well done, it was a good job out there, I said to them because Patricia fell asleep.
“Thanks, so you’ve heard everything yourself, that lady is a beautiful bloody liar, one said.

“Beautiful? Nah, from Patrick phone not reachable to he left it at home and its switched off and she does not know his code and all that, what did Patrick really do to deserve such treatment from her? I asked them.
“It’s a pity your brother is somewhere right now in need of help with the description the young guy gave, though he said his parents told him to mind his business that’s why they kept quiet when they didnt see him around, one replied.

“Oh God! Why can’t we just arrest this lady? I asked and a phone began to ring which one of them picked up,
‘Yes any development? He asked.

“She just drove out now, the caller replied.
“Follow behind smoothly okay, he said and dropped the call.

“Loveth just left the house and she’ll be followed. At least let’s know who she’s working for, he said to me and I nodded.
“I’m sure she will be thinking that the organization sent the officers to her because we actually showed her a fake ID card, if she gets to know we are not from the organization then she will be more smart that’s why I had her followed. We have to be one step ahead of her, he continued and I smiled.

“Thank you very much, thank you, I said.
‘Just doing my job. Okay we’ll be going now but don’t worry you’ll be updated with every move she takes. My regards to your sister, one said and they stood up.

“Sure, bye, I said waving at them and they left.

LOVETH POV.

I charged up my phone while driving and was able to make a call to the manager when I arrived at the building Patrick was.
“Hey what happened to you? The manager asked.
“I had a low battery. Why didnt you tell me that some officers will be sent to me? I asked.

“What? He asked.
“Officers of course, they came questioning me about Patrick, at least you should have hinted me so I’ll be prepared, I replied.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Though am acting like the police is already looking for Patrick and I haven’t sent anyone to you. The team will be coming down tomorrow, every thing will be shitty now, the man said and I scoffed.
“Wait a minute, then who was those men if they were not from the organization? I asked.

“I hope you didnt act stupid? He asked.
“I tried my best to cover up of course, let’s just forget about it, Patrick does not want to speak up, I frustratedly replied.

“You’re kidding me right! What am I paying you for? Did I pay you to be romantic with your boyfriend or to bring me that money? Just know this if I am going down, you’ll be going down with me, the manager said and dropped the call and one of the guys knocked on the window of my car and I breathed out plucking my phone back and came out.
“That was boss, has he not said anything yet?! I asked.

“he’s not even saying a word, he replied and I went in and met Patrick in the same state.
‘Arrange the shock, I said to the guys and one smiled and came to me,

“He’s not going to survive it, he whispered to me.
“He is going to still die anyway, arrange the shock, I told him and he shrugged his shoulders and left.

The guys were under me, and I’ve always been doing such jobs right from my university days. At a point I dropped out at my final level and stayed clear from my family totally because of what I do. I cover up in the open selling wigs and cosmetics, but what was really giving me the money and making me glow were dirty jobs like this.

I saw the way Patrick helplessly fell when he saw me for the first time and I said to myself I have seen a pet, someone to keep me company for a short while. I lied about my breakup because I wanted to be close to him and it was not difficult to get him at my finger tips and made him do all my bidding. Our romantic story was over when I had big jobs that took my time and Patrick began to nag, I wanted breaking up but he was too addicted not until the manager showed up and located me to help him steal such an amount of money using tricks.

When I got to know he was Patrick manager because he told me his name when he got Patrick promoted, I was the one who suggested he should use Patrick as the bait instead so he can be out of my life for good.

I woke the sleeping Patrick with a blow on his face and he could barely open his eyes,
“You really want to stress me right? I’ll show you that devil part of me you never knew, I angrily said looking at him as the guys got everything arranged.

“What did I ever do to you? I loved you with my all didn’t I? Patrick asked.
“Who cares about your love? You just loved the wrong person idiot, besides how can you love a stranger when you can’t love your family? Where is the money! I screamed out.

“I already said it didn’t I? Its with Patrica, probably if you ask her nicely she will give it to you, he replied and I smiled.
“And where can I find this Patricia? I asked.

“In the moon maybe, he replied and I nodded.
“Carry on with it, I said and shifted aside for the guys and watched them and commanded them to stop when I was satisfied.

I took a glass of water and forced him to drink as he shook helplessly,
“And I’ll ask you again, this time I want to be nice baby so don’t let this pass you by. Where did Patricia take the money to? I asked putting my ears close to his mouth so I can hear him properly but he spat blood into my ears and I shifted from him and cleaned my forehead.
I never knew Patrick was this stubborn and I wondered where he hid it for so long.

The building was not fenced nor did it have a gate and it was getting dark already.
“Omoh we just fail for this job alone, me sef don tire for am, one of the guys said as I looked at Patrick wondering what I should do to him but we saw car lights flashing everywhere.

“Who’s coming? I asked and the guys ran out to check out while I checked myself and saw I was not with my gun. I remembered I left it in the car and i decided go get it but to my surprise I saw my guys hands raised with police men pointing guns at them.
“Just stop there and raise your hands slowly, they told me but I could not still believe it. How did they find My hide out? Was what rang in my ears as my hands were handcuffed behind.

PATRICIA POV

I heard Frank screamed on phone and I woke up looking at him confused,
“Yes yes we have to inform the police. Good thing I know a big man in the police who is a friend to the priest I stayed with. If I can call the priest he can contact him, Frank said.
“Please do, the caller said and dropped the call.

“What happened and why the police? I asked.
“Its Patrick. The secret agents stayed behind and followed Loveth and she foolishly drove to a building the guys suspect Patrick will be in there, Frank replied.

“Oh my God! Call the police na, I said
“I have to call the priest, Frank said and dialed the priest number telling him everything.

“Are you serious? I’m not in the country now but wait let me see what I can do okay, the Priest said and dropped the call while we waited for the feedback.
It was 6:30 then and at 7pm a strange number called and it was the priest friend.
We had to leave the hotel to the station and that was how we arrived there and surrounded the place.

When I saw Patrick Carried out, I didn’t know if that was a dead or a living being. I barely recognized my brother who met me few days ago, he was really battered and I could not touch him but only cried as Frank and agent guys drove him quickly to the hospital.
I turned and saw Loveth dragged out and I ran to her pulling her hair violently and struggled with the officers who held me,
“Leave me alone, I want to feed her with her hairs! I shouted.

“I know I know but calm down okay, and officer said taking me away from Loveth.

I arrived at the hospital and Patrick was in a very bad state.
“Looks like his hands and legs are broken and I don’t think if there’s a blood in him, how can a lady be this brutal? One of the agent asked in shock while I just let myself down outside crying.
Though I was mad with Patrick in the past and prayed Loveth should teach him a lesson, I never wanted it to be this way…. No I can’t wish my worst enemy this.

Loveth and her guys really had the beatings of their life that night when they were forming hard to break. The next morning i left the hospital to the station to see how her sparkling skin has turned into and a call came on her phone and the officers saw the Name ‘boss 9”.
“Who is this? And officer asked.
“None of your business, she replied and a loud spank was sent close to her eyes that I almost urinated where I stood outside.

“Who is he! The officer shouted.
‘The manager, his manager! She shouted and I gasped.

“What! I whispered and called up Frank.
“You’re joking right? Frank asked surprised When I told him.

“That’s very simple, we’ll go get him, an officer said and I nodded and dropped the call with Frank.
“Please don’t let him get away, I know he will be on a run because of what he has done, I said to them.

“We know, they said and I looked at Loveth again who could not face me,
“Who’s the loser now huh? I asked and she shook her head.

‘Don’t be too happy, Loveth replied.
“You’re right, my happiness will be complete when your tongue is completely removed, I said and left.

I was so anxious in the hospital looking at the unconscious Patrick wondering when he will wake up, and his manager will he be caught?
“Patricia calm down and let them do their job, Frank said seeing all my uneasiness.
“I don’t understand why this is happening to our family, who did we offend? I tearfully asked looking at Patrick and a doctor walked in.

“Doctor how is my brother? He has not blinked his eyes, I said to the doctor and he breathed out.
“Just give him time, and we need to do a blood transfusion on him, the doctor replied and I sniffed.

I have not been paid for about two months now and Frank has been the one covering up for me, where will we have the money to pay all of this? I wondered as Frank took over to talk with the doctor.
The doctor did his work on Patrick and left while I quietly looked thinking hard and Frank touched me,
“Stay with him okay, let me go loan money for his treatment, Frank said and fresh tears poured.

“How are we going to pay? And Patrick will he survive? Tell me the truth, I asked Frank and he weakly looked at me and his phone began to ring,
“Good morning sir, he picked up.

“Now sir? I’m coming, Frank said and ran out of the room while I slowly held Patrick hand crying.
The door opened and Frank walked in with his boss which I sniffed and greeted him,
“Goodness me! Was it this serious? When the guys were trying to tell me this I didn’t understand, Frank boss said seeing Patrick in bed.

“If we had wasted five more minutes before we found him, we would have brought him out dead, Frank said.
“This is bad, the guys just called when I was on my way coming here, they will be going to the organization Before the manager arrives so that the police can majestically come in and they won’t be any route of escape for him. You know big men goes to work late, but dont worry they’ll update us with everything, his boss said.

“That will be great sir, Frank said and his boss touched him on his shoulder.
“Be strong for your twin Pat, he needs you now, He said to me and I gave a weak smile.

“I’m trying hard sir, I said.
“Sure. Frank see me outside, His boss said.

“Thanks for visiting, Bye sir, I said and he smiled and left the room with Frank.
Frank returned to the room shortly and gave me a paper,
“What’s this? I asked taking it from him to see a cheque.

“What! I shouted seeing the amount,
“I hope its not your salary advance? I asked.

“Even if it is am still grateful, it will go far in helping Patrick treatment, Frank replied.
“Wow, at least you won’t have to loan and pay interest, I said.

“Yea, my boss is kind and he’s single and searching also, Frank said looking at the ceiling and I just saw myself laughing.
“That made you laugh my dear, Frank smiled cleaning my tears..
