[STORY] BEHIND CHURCH DOORS (Episode 22)

Episode 22.

TIA

“We’re here,” the driver says as he pulls up to the Bishop’s private apartment.
The Bishop didn’t make it to the office today, he sent the driver to pick me up and bring me here as soon as I got off work. Zyair and I are supposed to go out tonight, I texted him and told him I would be slightly late.

I plan on being here for just a few minutes before I rush back home and get ready to head out to dinner with my husband. I haven’t spent time with him in a long time, he deserves this night.

“Thank you,” I say before I step out of the car. Grabbing my bag, I shuffle into the house.
“I missed you,” is the first thing Bishop says when he sees me. Standing up, he walks towards me, takes me in his arms and hugs me the hardest he has ever hugged me.
“You missed me that much?” I laugh when I pull away from him.
“I haven’t seen you the whole day, what do you expect?”
I kick off my shoes and take off my coat, “I missed you too but I am starving, is there food in this house?”
I didn’t manage to get lunch because of that stance that Pastor Ruth pulled. After I left her house I headed back to the office. I didn’t have enough time to grab something to eat.
“There’s pizza on the kitchen table and a bottle of wine in the fridge.”
“Alright,” I rush into the kitchen, grab the pizza box and pour myself a glass of wine. Then I walk back into the living room, sit down and open the pizza box, for a moment I inhale it’s fresh steamy aroma.

“It was just delivered a couple of minutes ago, I ordered it for you when you said you didn’t have lunch.”
“Thank you,” I smile, picking up my glass of wine and taking a drink from it. Grabbing a slice of pizza, I take a large bite. “Uh, good! I’m famished!” I say with a mouth full.
“So didn’t you go for lunch?”
Kingsely and I talked via text when I got back to the office after meeting with his wife. I told him I didn’t manage to have lunch but I didn’t want to tell him why on the phone.
“Pastor Ruth came over.”
“My wife?”
“Yes.”
“Why? I told her I wasn’t at the office.”
“She came for me.”
“Why?”
“She came to warn me to stay away from you.”
“She did what?”
“Well she said she wanted us to talk then she drove me to this house of hers that looks like this one. She offered me money to stop working at the church house and to quit being a member of the church.”
“How could she? Did you take the money?”
“No, I told her there was nothing going on between us.”
“Good girl, don’t mind Ruth, the devil is obviously using her.”
“She told me I am not the first lady you have been after in that church. She said you do this always when someone new comes through.”
“That’s absurd. I hope you didn’t believe her.”
‘”No I didn’t.”

I take another large gulp from my wine glass, “she also threatened to tell my husband about us.”
He laughs, “she won’t do that.”
“You are sure?”
“Yes. Ruth is a fool, I am only with her because she is the face of the church otherwise there’s no love between us. I don’t even remember the last time I touched her, I hope God would one day instruct me to marry you.”
“God would do that?” I look at him. “Knowing that I am married?”
“He would if it were something that would advance his kingdom. You know God and his mysteries?”
‘”Oh wow.”

I don’t know what to think about what Bishop has just said, I never pictured myself being married to someone else other than Zyair. When I said my vows to Zyair, divorce was the last thing on my mind. Actually I never pictured myself being this close to another man other than him.
This thing with me and Bishop is something I feel I have no control over, something keeps drawing me to him. It feels like we are one person, like we are joined as one.
“Earth to Tia.”
His hand finds its way to my cheek, and he cradles my face gently, “What’s on your mind?” He asks.
“I am thinking about us.”
“Do you have regrets?”
“No, I just don’t understand how I am so connected to you. I feel so comfortable around you, like I have known you my whole life.”
He smiles,” “This is a Godly affair, it won’t make sense to you when you think about it. But all you need to know is that we are doing something right.”
“Okay. You aren’t eating?”
“You are not hungry?”
“I am hungry but not for food,” he winks.

I shyly look away, his words make me feel hot all over.
“Come,” he says as he steps in front of my chair. I extend my hand to his and he lifts me to my feet.
“So what exactly are you hungry for?” I ask him, only inches from his lips.
“This,” he pulls me to him and kisses me hungrily. Moaning into his mouth, I press into him.
My phone begins to ring as we kiss,” you want to take that?” He whispers into my ear.
“Not now.”
“I thought as much, let’s get this dress off you.”
He doesn’t wait for me to respond before he unzips it and it drops it to the ground.
“You are beautiful,” He whispers as he slips his hand into the front of my pants and right into my center, making me gasp.

He starts to move his fingers faster inside and I find myself bouncing on his hand.My heart races. Oh… Bishop.” I moan, closing my eyes.
His fingers pump me aggressively until I let loose and his name rolls of my tongue.
“Oh my,” I let out a deep breath, “that was intense.”
“This is far from over,” he says. Then he lifts me and carries me to the bedroom as my phone begins to ring again but I ignore it. I will get back to whoever it is later.
