[STORY] AYOMIDE (Episode 12)

Episode 12.

Ayomide was already in her final year and the exams were not easy but she had prepared well. She had to stop every other activities in order to prepare adequately. She wasn’t ready to fail any subject not even Prof Atama’s course.
It was her last paper which was Prof Atama’s course. She took her time to prepare. She has been reading for the past hour. She stood up to make use of the bathroom when she heard a knock. She opened the door.
” Good morning” a male voice greeted.
” Good morning sir. How may I help you?”
” It’s you I came to see”
“I don’t know you sir. Is there any problem?”
” I know you and I have come to return all the glory to God.”
“Alright!”

“You told me to change my church in one of the programs I happened to attend. I was actually invited by someone and you prophesied into my life. I have been moving from pillar to post for the past years. I have been living like a mad man. My goods worth almost three hundred thousand naira was seized. After you prayed for me and I got home and made a vow that if he answer me, I will bless you. Two weeks ago, everything turned for good. My goods have been released. I have come to fulfill my vow.”

“Woah!” Ayo exclaimed.
” Actually one of the sisters who knew you directed me here because I have been trying to locate you.”
“Take this!” It’s an appreciation gift – my vow has been fulfilled.”
He thanked Ayomide and left.

Ayo was speechless when the man gave her the envelope. She closed the door and hurriedly opened the envelope only to find a cheque of twenty five million naira.
“Hey! She shouted.

She dropped the envelope on the bed and ran out to look for the man so that she can thank him properly but she couldn’t find him.
“Aaah! God, what have I done to deserve this kind of blessing. I didn’t even ask his name.”
She knelt down and began to glorify God.
———————————–“Meet me at Hotel Domino at 7pm today. Prof Atama told one of the students
“I won’t sir. I am intelligent and I know I will pass your paper sir”
“Young lady, your test is not enough to get you a good grade and your intelligence doesn’t count. Meet me there or repeat the course.” He snared at her.
” I will report you” she threatened.

“To who?” He gave a throaty laugh. ” My name is Professor Atama Martins. I am not afraid of anyone. Not even the Vice Chancellor. Ask other people what they know about me.”
“Please sir, forgive me. I was just joking. I will cooperate with you sir.”
“Are you sure young woman?”
“Yes sir! What is the name of the place again?” She asked timidly.
“Hotel Domino 7pm tonight. Meet me there. Come with your pen because you will write your exam there.”
“Ok sir.”

As the timid student left, he smiled to himself.
“I have caught another beautiful girl. More money, power and fame to me if she’s a virgin. He was happy. He picked up his phone to dial a number when three men entered the office without knocking.

Prof Atama looked at the men and in awe, he went on his knees.
“Good morning sir!
“Why are you on your knees?” The one that looked like the boss asked.
“I … I .. don’t know sir. Who are you sir?”
“I am an Authority. I am the King of all Kings.

Prof Atama became terrified. The man’s voice was like many waters. His face was mean and His eyes were fire. The other two hefty men were dressed in military uniform. Their countenance wasn’t pleasant either. But why are they angry with him? He thought.
“You’re wicked. You destroy the very ones you are supposed to protect. You sleep with my daughters and take away their glory and virtue because you want the perishable things of this world.”
Still in awe, Prof Atama watched himself on the screen. Date, time and names of the different hotels and bars he had visited with the female students.”
“Now you threatened another of my daughter? My own Ayo? The apple of my eyes?
“Sir, I am sorry. I didn’t know she is your daughter” he said peeing on his body.
“She’s my daughter and I don’t joke with her. Whatever that concerns her concerns me. I will pull down anyone that threatens her peace and joy. Your heart is evil Atama.”
“I am so sorry sir. So sorry.” He pleaded
“You should be”
The man moved to the door as if he wants to leave then returned. He stoop and looked at Atama eye ball to eye ball with his flaming eyes.
“I am the lion and the lamb. I am a consuming fire. Touch any of my daughters again and you’re doomed.”

He pointed at the wall and Exodus 15:3 appeared and he command Atama to read it aloud.
“The Lord is a man of war, the Lord is His name.” He read

“That is me Atama and I honour my word more than my name.”

Jesus! Jesus!! Prof Atama screamed and jumped out of the chair.
“So it was a dream?” He said when realization dawned on him. He was sweating.
“But I was Reading. How did I drift to sleep? He checked his wristwatch.
“I still have few minutes before the exam. That man looked so angry. I don’t want him in my dream again. He looks too powerful. I didn’t know what forced me to kneel when he entered. His eyes are fire. Ah! I will just avoid that girl called Ayo! I am sure she isn’t ordinary oo. I don’t want to fall into that man’s trap ever.”

He picked the exam questions and headed for the examination hall.
