[STORY] AYOMIDE (Episode 01)

Episode 01.

“The seed you’re carrying is going to be great. She will be more than ten sons. She will wipe your tears and bring Joy to you, if you can guide her in the things of God. Protect her the way you would protect your eyes. Teach her the things of God . She’s going to be a great tool in the hands of God. Don’t stand against her calling” This was the prophecy of Pastor Ezekiel to Mr and Mrs Oluwafikayo that evening when he visited them. Adenike Oluwafikayo was gladdened by the message. He spirit was lifted. She sang, danced and rolled on the tiled floor in worship to God. She knew it was her set time to testify and put all her mockers to shame.

Twelve years in marriage without a child. 12 years of tears and mockery. 12 years of emotional trauma and like Sarah and Hannah God in his infinite mercy has promised to put an end to barrenness in her marriage. “What God cannot do doesn’t exist” Adenike kept siloquazing.

Kola Oluwafikayo on the other hand was skeptical about this pastor Ezekiel’s prophecy. Not as if he didn’t believe the message but he has prayed and waited long enough and he wasn’t sure he will ever have a child. He was a born again Christian, an evangelist and an Intercessor who could send Satan packing from people’s lives. Demon tremble when he pray. Difficult situations bow but because of the issue of childlessness, his faith in God was shaken.

Bro Kola wasn’t giving marriage any thought until pressure from his parents forced him to seek the face of God about it. He knew marriage is not what one dabble into without the right partner. He must not choose a partner who like a wind, will destroy his ministry. He must marry a ‘Spirikoko sister’, a sister who can pray and fire will fall, mountains will level, the earth will shake and the devil will flee.

Two months into prayer, Bro Kola hasn’t heard from God and he was disappointed. He started looking at all the sisters in the church who will fit his criteria. Different pictures were playing in his head. “Sister Mary is spiritual but too tall for his liking. Sister has a good voice but doesn’t know how to pray down fire. She may drag me backward if I marry her. Aah! Sister Esther is beautiful but talkative. Hmmm! She may begin to narrate everything happening in our lives if I marry her. Nooooo!” His heart finally settled for sis Tolani because she’s beautiful, calm and gentle. She’s a teacher of the Word and the devil is afraid of her.
