Nigeria will not end me — Nicki Minaj voice out
The well-known American rapper and songwriter Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, popularly known as Nicki Minaj, recently joked about Nigeria in an online conversation on X.
The music icon humorously declared that Nigeria will not “end” her. This comment came in response to a Nigerian fan, @Eniturn, who had reacted to a line from Nicki’s reply to a critic of Lil Wayne. In her response, Nicki had said, “God will punish you.”
The fan joked, “I read the first line in the voice of an Igbo girl that was heartbroken by a Yoruba man,” prompting Nicki’s light-hearted retort.
She made the statement while reacting to the National Football League’s selection of Kendrick Lamar to be the main attraction of the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans.
Because of his significance to New Orleans and his impact on hip hop, Minaj felt that Lil Wayne, the label head of Young Money Records and her mentor, was the natural choice for the historic performance.
In response to one of those dissenting voices, Nicki Minaj went on a rant that had her sounding like a Nigerian.
Reacting, Nicki Minaj joked that “Nigeria won’t kill her” while quoting the popular line from Ayra Starr’s ‘Comma’ “Sabi Girl no dey too like talk” in an expression of her Nigerian side.
“LMFAOOOO. Nigeria will not end me o! Sabi girl no Dey too like talk My words take the express elevator to the most high chi. I will show them pepper,” the post reads.
