Nancy Isime, other celebrities mourn late Ada Ameh
Nigerian entertainers and celebrities have expressed shock and pain following the news of the death of Nollywood veteran actress, Adah Ameh.
Though the news was made public on Monday, Ameh, aged 48, died Sunday night.
The actress, known for her major role in the Africa Magic family drama, The Johnsons, had opened up on her mental issues a few weeks before her demise.
Following her death, celebrities took to Twitter to mourn the actress.
Popular On-Air Personality, Dotun, tweeted, “Ada Ameh’s death is so painful. One of My fav on The Johnsons, especially when she says ‘a lucky lo lo’ ‘Apor’. She just lost a child and she now. May God put us through our tough times. This one is very painful.”
“The fact that we have to experience grief at some point in our lives and then try to live with such an intense emotion is so mind-blowing. If the news is true, Rest well, Ada Ameh. I loved watching you on tv. I hope you’re at a place where pain is a fiction of our imagination,” reality TV star Angel Smith said.
Recounting her meeting with Ameh, Big Brother Naija star, Saskay wrote, “I met this woman once on set, and she was so sweet like she had known me before. All I could think of was the grief she was experiencing cause I had seen several videos where she spoke about her mental health. This is really sad. Rest well, Ada Ameh.”
In October 2020, she lost her daughter, Aladi Godgift, who was over 30 years old.
The actress has, in recent times, opened up about her battle with grief, depression, and mental issues.
