Firm launches biometric payment offerings
Torche has launched a biometric payment offering that allows customers to process payments with their face or fingerprint.
In a statement, the firm said this solution will enable merchants to benefit from improved customer experience and capitalise on operational efficiencies.
Chief Executive Officer, Torche, Sisan Dorsu, said, “I think when you overlook a massive population, instead of digging deeper into building solutions for their problems, we won’t be able to uncover many situations that will also apply to the rest of the world.
“We’re building Torche to give people the opportunity to evolve and achieve their full potential by making financial services accessible by simply being identified through their biometrics.”
The firm added that its biometric-enabled solution is currently available at stores in Lagos, Nigeria, and will extend to more supermarkets, cafes, gas stations, and more in the coming months.
