EPL: Arsene Wenger: What Nwankwo Kanu, Fabregas, Seaman, Neville others says to resignation
Mixed reactions have continued to trail the news of Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, leaving the club.
Recall that Wenger announced in a statement on Friday morning that he would be leaving the Emirate club at the end of the current season after 22 years with the club, ending a long tenure that that got him three Premier League titles.

Ex-Nigeria international and Arsenal legend, Nwankwo Kanu Twitted: “Big shoes for anyone to fill,playing for Arsenal under Arsene was one of the best period of my career”.
“2 premiership, 2 FA cups, The invincibles, playing with some of the best assembled players, influencing millions of fans in Africa to support this great club.”
Reacting, ex-Manchester United defender, Gary Neville tweeted: “Arsene Wenger built the best teams that I played against in English football The 98 team was amazing.
“The biggest compliment is that he played football that made us change the way we played against them. He now deserves the most incredible send off from all in the coming weeks.”
On his part, Chelsea midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, who played for Arsenal some years back, on his Twitter page, posted a picture of himself with Wenger when he was a young player, writing:
“Wow. I never expected that but it shows the great dignity and class of the man. I will never forget his guidance and support, his tutelage and mentorship. He had faith in me from day one and I owe him a lot, he was like a father figure to me who always pushed me to be the best. Arsene, you deserve all the respect and happiness in the world.”
Reacting, Arsenal legend, David Seaman told talkSPORT that: “It’s time to show respect and realise what he’s done. In a few years’ time they’ll look back at what Arsene Wenger’s done and people will just remember the trophies, and there was a hell of a lot of trophies.”
“So now let’s enjoy that. I hope all the fans who have stayed away now return. We’ve still got a chance of winning something at the end of this season, so don’t just stay away because Arsene is in charge.
“Get behind the team, get behind Arsene and give him the respect he deserves.”
Reacting, Arsenal legend, Tony Adams shared several images of himself with Wenger on his Twitter page and called him the greatest boss the club have ever had.
“Thanks for everything Arsene,” he wrote. “Move over Herbert, Arsene Wenger the greatest Arsenal Manager.”
Meanwhile former Chelsea manager, Carlo Ancelotti has emerged favourite for Arsenal manager’s job after Wenger’s Friday resignation.
