A car tragedy claims the lives of two Ondo State Polytechnic students
Ondo State‘s Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, lost two of its students in a deadly car crash on Wednesday night along the Akure-Ondo Expressway.
Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola, the victims, were apparently riding a motorbike when they were reportedly smashed by a speeding car, which resulted in their instant deaths.
The National Association of Nigerian Students Joint Campus Council Ondo State Chapter verified the incidence in a statement on Thursday.
The statement was signed by the association’s chairman, Oluwarotimi Tobiloba Joshua, General Secretary, Oluwanishola Ajibola and Public Relations Officer, Kehinde Blessing.
The statement read, “This loss is a heavy blow to the Ondo State student community.
“The tragic deaths of Chukwu Athanasius and Oladokun Oyindamola remind us of the fragility of life. These were young individuals with promising futures, and their loss is deeply felt.”
