Natural Toothpaste – A Home Remedy for Various Dental Issues
Many people dread even the thought of going to the dentist – it can be rather expensive and to be honest, scary. So, they take care of their teeth and gums as much as they can. But sometimes life gets too busy and we often skip steps in the whole dental hygiene process – we don’t have time to brush our teeth thoroughly, or don’t have time to floss, and we also consume food that damages our teeth overtime. We are not even aware that even using regular toothpaste on a regular basis can be harmful to our teeth and gums.
Many toothpastes are advertised to have amazing teeth-whitening effects, however, if used too often, they may cause damage to your tooth enamels. They may also have some other side effects, like gum damage or sensitive teeth and sometimes the damage can be hard to repair or can even be unrepairable.
So, if you want to avoid using commercial toothpastes and you want to opt for a healthier and more natural approach to dental care, we suggest trying this natural, home-made toothpaste that consists of turmeric which has been shown to have many beneficial effects.
Here’s the recipe for this natural toothpaste:
All you need is 1 tablespoon of coconut oil, some peppermint oil, as well as one or half a teaspoon of turmeric powder (or 2 capsules of it).
First, you mix the coconut oil with the turmeric powder, and then you add some peppermint oil (as much as you need to create a homogenous paste).
Then, you put some of the mixture on your toothbrush, just like a regular toothpaste.
The preparation is easy, and the ingredients are natural and most importantly, highly beneficial to your oral and overall health.
Turmeric, as well as some other products like apple cider vinegar and spirulina, helps decalcify the pineal gland (or more commonly known as our ‘third eye’), while using commercial toothpastes for a longer period of time can calcify the pineal gland with the fluoride they consist of. Also, it is good for relieving inflammation, so using this toothpaste while having inflamed gums and teeth can be really helpful.
