[STORY] BEHIND CHURCH DOORS (Episode 09)

Episode 09.

– SOPHIA – 

We are lying on top of my bed after an intense sex session. The covers and sheets are lying rumpled at the foot of the bed.
“That was amazing Sophia. You never disappoint when it comes to sex.”
“Is your wife as good as I am in bed?” I ask
He laughs, “no-ways! That one just lies down like a log of wood during sex, she hardly moves , she doesn’t make a sound. Sex with her is so boring.”
I roll my eyes, “And yet you are still married to her?”
“You know it’s not easy to divorce someone. And the fact that I am a man of God with a huge following makes it even harder. You should know that I don’t even love my wife, you are one who has my heart. I don’t even sleep with her, can’t remember the last time I even touched her.”
“And that should make me feel better right? For how long am I supposed to be the other woman?”
“I will work out something eventually but you have to be patient. And this is not just about me, your father is my friend and you are only eighteen.”
“I am capable of making my own decisions. I am not a child anymore and if I decide to be with you no one will tell me otherwise, not even my parents.”
“I hear you babe. I hear you,” He slides his lips to my neck and sucks my skin. I suck in a breath and unconsciously melt into him.
My phone chooses that moment to ring and he pulls back, reaching for it, I stare at the scream as Ryan’s name flashes on it.
“Excuse me,” I get up from the bed.
Then I press the answer button and hold the phone to my ear. ‘Hello.”
“Hey babe.”
“How are you?”
“I am okay, are you in school?”
I stare at Pastor G before I respond, “No I am not, I have stepped out. I needed to run some errands, what’s up?”
“I wanted to come over. I thought we could eat pizza and watch a movie or two.”
“Tonight won’t be possible. Let’s do that tomorrow if that’s okay with you.”
“Okay. Tomorrow night it is then.”
“Sure.”
“I love you.”
“Same here,” I respond and hang up before I give him a chance to say anything else. .
Ryan is someone I have been dating for a couple of months. He loves me a lot, I just don’t feel the same way. Pastor G has my heart, that’s why I keep asking when he will leave his wife and marry me.

I don’t even know how things started between Pastor G and I, it was unplanned. I just found myself falling for him. I am in too deep at this moment, I don’t see myself walking away from what we have.

I know my parents would kill us if they found out about the affair but that’s a risk I am willing to take.
“Who was that?” He asks, taking a sip from his glass of wine.
I shrug, “it’s no one important,” I put my phone back on the table and join him in bed.
“I hope it’s not one of these small college boys. I wouldn’t want to share you with anyone.”
“And yet I get to share you with someone else? Is that even fair darling?”
“It’s not the same thing.”
“How?”
“I am married. My wife was in my life when I met you but you were single when I met you so if you start seeing someone now, it means you are cheating on me.”
I laugh,” You amaze me pastor G.”
“I am serious Sophia. You don’t get to sleep with other men while you are with me.”
“What about you?”
“I don’t even sleep with her anymore.”
“Oh really?”
“I am serious.”
“Whatever you say pastor. I hope you know I won’t wait for you forever so get your shit together.”
“I will,” he pulls me close to me and starts kissing me again as he runs his hands down to the sides of my breasts, I groan with desire.
I can never get enough of this man.

TIA
I am standing in front of the mirror, staring at myself. I am dressed up in a knee length white side-slit dress that I bought a few days ago. Sanna helped me pick this dress, she said Bishop Kingsley would love it on me.

Bishop Kingsley is taking me out tonight. I was hesitant about going out with him but Sanna said there’s nothing wrong in allowing my father in faith to treat me out for a meal.

In her own words this is Papa K’s way of getting to know me away from the church environment.

“You look beautiful,” Zyair says, startling me from my thoughts. He thinks I am going out with Sanna and some friends from her work place. I told him one of them is celebrating their birthday. I know I shouldn’t have lied to him but knowing how he gets about my church, he won’t understand why the Bishop is taking me out.
“Thank you baby. How was work?”
“It was okay.”
“Your food is on the table.”
“Thank you. What time are you coming back?”
“I am not sure. But I won’t be out for too long.”
“Okay.”
A car hoots at the gate and I grab my purse. Papa K said he would send someone to pick me up.
“That should be my ride.”
“Be safe out there.”
“Alright, I love you.”
“I love you too.”
I head out of the room and exit the house before getting into the car.
“Good evening,” the driver says, pulling back into the main road.
“Good evening,” I reply before I focus my eyes back on the phone. I don’t even know where we are dining from but knowing the kind of man the Bishop is, I am sure it’s a fancy place. The rest of the drive is quiet. I am nervous, I feel like a teenager going on her first date. But this isn’t even a date, it’s a father- daughter kind of night out.

We’re here, ma’am,” the driver says before he parks, steps out, and walks around the car.
He opens the door for me and I step out slowly.
“What’s this place?” I ask because it doesn’t look like a restaurant.
“It’s an apartment, it belongs to the Bishop. He wanted the dinner to be private.”
“Oh.”
“You can walk right ahead and knock at the door he is obviously waiting for you. or would you prefer if I escort you?”
“No thanks,” I smile at him as I head for the door.
