I KILLED MY FATHER By Solomon Adinya

Episode 07 (Last Episode).

I and my mum were in the hospital for two weeks treating first degree burns , the ghost would knock things of tables and drug shelves, the doctors and nurses would ask us who the man was who just left our rooms, sometimes things kept on the desk would just find itself somewhere else around the hospital.

The doctor told us a man who matched mg dad’s description had told him to kick us out of the hospital or he would face attacks .
We left the hospital to Aunt Magi’s place, she and mum kept looking for powerful men of God to conduct family deliverance on us .
The ghost would torment some of the pastors they would dismiss us after they’d agreed to conduct the deliverance .

I was strolling around aunt Magi’s estate , when a car stopped beside me and a man on red suit and red shirt got down after his body gaurd opened the door for him .

“Solomon Solomon ”
He smiled mischievously.
“I told you before the only way you can find peace and save your brothers is by sacrificing your mother or all of you would go for it .”

I Ignored him as I continued on my way .
“Stop you insipid crustacean or I’ll have Mad dog here tear you into shreds .”
His bodyguard marched forward, basking his massive chest , like the dancing Ikebe of of woman carrying a basin of water from the stream. He pulled a pistol tugged under his Italian Mafian jacket , just enough for me to see the cold still.
“Solomon when the cockroach refuses to hide in the toilet pit, the chicken would feast upon it . Consider this the last warning , Goha doesn’t answer to any deity , he’s God he doesn’t bar to man , Emmanuel is just his son , and the son cannot tell the father what to do , your father’s spirit wants to rest , it needs vengeance.”
His bodyguard opened the door for him , he got in, Mad dog jumped into the front passenger seat and the driver zoomed of .

We were all seating at aunt Magi’s parlour when I heard a noise from the kitchen , I went to go and inspect , I saw an ere figure , like a shadow with red blazing eyes .

“What do you want ?”
I asked it hissed and sent all the knifes on the shelves to come flying at me , I dodge behind the center cabinet at the middle of the kitchen , I heard it’s beastly growl, my mum and aunt started running to the kitchen , it lifted me and pinned me to the . Uncle Zuby smashed it in the head with the pistol used for pounding , it turned around whilst I was pinned to the wall, it let out a loud shrieking creeeching sound that sent him flying across the kitchen like a bat .
“Jesus! Jesus ! Jesus !”
Mum and aunt Magi began to shout , and the ghostly figure Nt evaporated from the window, the house was unusually quiet . I was still trying to catch my breath, when mum and aunt Magi ran to uncle Zuby .

“Zuby Zuby ! Zuby please don’t die on me !”
Aunt Magi screamed .
“Let’s rush him to the hospital, he’s pulse is low , he’s not dead .”
Mum and grabbed uncle Zuby while I took the car keys to the SuV we had brought , they got him into the car he was barely breathing, I got into the SUV and the car roared to live, while driving out of the estate we saw the ere figure standing with it’s dark shallow faces , when I drove passed it , it began to float like black smoke from a burning market, it had wings like bats, red eyes like blood . It followed them until they got to the hospital gate.

Pastor Moses who mum and aunt Magi had been going to for deliverance prayers, was at the hospital waiting, mum had called him, he began to pray for uncle, I saw the black figure fly away .

We started holding meetings with dad’s brothers at aunt Magi’s place on how to move the body to the village to bury it . We would hear the car alarms begin to blare in unison, while the meetings were ongoing, when we come out we would see windscreens , side mirrors and headlamps vandalized. Pastor Moses was there, he asked us to go on that the reign of Satan in our lives was over .

He had started haunting his brothers and assaulting members of their families , that was why they agreed to find a solution to bury his corpse.

We went to the hospital to take his body , it was a ghost town , nobody could be found at the hospital, they said his ghost was always walking about and causing havoc, staff and patients had stopped coming to the hospital , we went in we saw the corpse we took it on an ambulance drove us towards Lokoja.
A group of men with expensive to tinted cars stopped us .
“Where do you think you’re going?”
O NE of the men commanded .
We ignored him.
“Take calistus to Abuja or you all would face dire consequences.

“Mr Man you and your cult cannot do anything, we are traveling in the name of Jesus, death and life has no business.”
Pastor Moses commanded the drive on , the evil men turned back towards Abuja with their cars .

As we passed Lokoja, heading towards Obajana cement , the ambulance was involved In a fatal accident, dad body fell out of it’s casket . The occupants of the other car died on the spot, we had to buy another casket and managed the battered car to the village.

The ambulance broke down just close to our village around ten PM in the night , I drove mum to get a mechanic, from the town around there , a mechanic was called From his house , he worked on the car till twelve AM before we continued on our journey, aunt Magi drove behind me , I had started driving at the age of fourteen, at seventeen I was already an expert driver .

When we got to the village, people were already out doing wake keep , playing gospel songs, mourners were gathered , dad was loved in the village he was a cheerful giver, and he contributed heavily to the development of youths, I thought the place would be deserted , but the villagers came in their number.

Dad’s opened casket was placed on table at the center of the compound, where he lay like he was sleeping.

The next morning the villagers called rhe reverend father to come and pray for dad’s body before burial , but his cult members had come in large numbers.
“Stop you evil reverend! How can you lay your hand on one of ours ? Darkness and light have nothing in common.” He challenged the reverend. The reverend and his catechist left the burial ground when the occultic men and their bodyguards began to smash everything, mum was crying and begging those of them she knew , even those who were friendly with mum, ignored her . Mum and my siblings were crying.

When the village youths wanted to interfer, the occultic priest , who was the new guru , claded in a red gown, and scarf around his head ,commanded him to go blind another he commanded to go deaf, the other youths ran away for dear life .

Pastor Moses got up with his big Bible.
“You agents of Satan! Children of Lucifer! Agents of Goha today you’re going to bow.”
The priest was shocked that they was still a resistance, he looked around and began to laugh in a satanic way . At this point the villagers and relatives had scampered for safety , only the brave ones peeped from Window cracks in terror as powers changed hands .
“You dare Goha? He’s not merciful . I command you to turn Into a cockerel now.”
He pointed his wand at pastor Moses and nothing happened.

“A cockroach that thinks itself a hen, will end up in the belly of chicks. I command you to turn to a rat!”
Pastor Moses stood unmoved he laughed , their bodyguards rushed at him.
“I command you all to become crippled and blind in the name of Jesus.”
Six of the body guards immediately became withered and blind. The fifty men brought out their wands and pointed at Pastor Moses, the guru began to make incantations, dad got out of the casket with a wand on his hand , he pointed it at pastor Moses , all of us had ran away watching from afar off, watching what the outcome would be , explosions and thunder bolt sang , that ears became noise deaf , pastor Moses was just saying.
“Blood of Jesus .” Repeatedly.
The occultic men began to fall and disappear, lastly thr guru fell pastor Moses said to him .
“You are not going anywher.”
The guru remain, dad’s wand fell from his hands, he stood still, with the white gloves on his hands and cotgonwool in his nose.”
People who had ran away began coming back to see wonders.
Pastor Moses commanded the two youths the guru had cursed to be heal, and the bodyguards were all healed.
” Please forgive us , pray for us, we want to receive Jesus.”
Pastor Moses prayed for them then told them to put dad’s body back into the coffin. He prayed on the body, as it was being lowered into the grave the body began to shake and fight violently. Pastor Moses commanded it to be still and it was still.
When it was lowered into the grave the villagers filled the grave up with concrete, and covered the grave with iron bars, so he would never get out , though Pastor Moses told them it was not going to come out again , they just wanted to be on the safer side.
The Guru’s body was taken to the evil forest and buried in a shallow, grave by the youths .

Okereke the popular drink supplier In the village came to our compound looking for Mr Calistus Osavene , which happened to be my dad . He said dad had gone to his shop around seven AM just before his cult members came to collect two crates of guilder, that be should come to the Osavene compound , where burial was going on to collect his money.
We knew what our father had done In Abuja, he got to know it was a dead man he did transaction with ,mum paid fifteen thousand for the crates of beer , he refused to touch the bottles that were now empty, the crate was left in the compound, he never believed he talked with a dead man .

We got back to Abuja, all dad’s accounts were frozen, we couldn’t take any money from it, but we were happy that we were no longer haunted , we could sleep like it people, without noise fears , being pressed down. We got a small three bedroom apartment in kubwa after selling off all of dad’s land , we didn’t want anything from him . We destroyed every of his memory that was left
