BREAKING: Oyo Commissioner For Environment, Kehinde Ayoola, Is Dead

The Commissioner for Environment in Oyo State, Kehinde Ayoola, has been reported dead.
It was gathered that Ayoola, former Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, had been sick for some time before his death on Thursday.

Biography Of Late Kehinde Ayoola

The former representative of Oyo East/West State Constituency between 1999 to 2003 under the Alliance for Democracy, was Speaker between 1999 and 2003, during the administration of late Lam Adesina.

He was appointed as Commissioner for Environment following Governor Seyi Makinde’s inauguration in 2019.
Under his watch as the Environment Commissioner, the Oyo State Government inaugurated four environmental tribunals for the enforcement of the state environmental laws.

The late Ayoola, a graduate of Animal Science and Environmental Management and Control, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, and married to a Professor of Agronomy, was a member, Association of Environmental Impact Assessment of Nigeria.

Eulogy From Seyi Makinde

I received with deep sadness, the news of the death of my dear friend and colleague, Rt. Honourable Kehinde Ayoola. Up until his death this morning, he served as the Honourable Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources in Oyo State.

I met late Rt. Honourable Ayoola in 2002, when we worked together as members of the Fortune Group for the election of Senator Rasheed Ladoja. He also served as the Director General for my 2015 campaign and the Deputy Director General for my 2019 campaign.

He was a loyal friend with a dedication to duty that cannot be questioned. He will be sorely missed for his great oratory skills and his love for the people of Oyo Town and Oyo State. May his soul rest in peace.
