Messi Tells Barcelona To Sign €180m Mbappe
Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has told the club to beat rivals Real Madrid to the signing of €180m Kylian Mbappe before the end of the transfer window.
La Liga clubs have until August 31 to sign new players.
Real Madrid has since identified Mbappe as a long-term replacement for legendary Ronaldo, who left the club for Juventus earlier this summer.
Despite the signings of Ousmane Dembele, Philippe Coutinho and Malcolm in recent times, Barca still needs a player capable of bringing them what Neymar did before his move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Spanish sports outlet, Don Ballon reports that Messi has told the club to do whatever they can to ensure they beat Real to the transfer of PSG forward, Mbappe
Don Balon also noted that Real Madrid was interested in the player, with Los Blancos in need of a superstar after selling Ronaldo to Juventus.
The newspaper added that Messi does not want to see Barcelona miss out on bringing Mbappe to Camp Nou.
