
Hey, what’s up guys! Welcome to another episode of “Learn New Words With ANE“. Today, (or this weekend) we shall be looking at some English words you can learn.
First of, before we proceed or jump into business. Why should you learn new words? Learning new words doesn’t only make you smart, it also makes you feel among. So don’t just learn it, know it, save it and digest it!. So whenever you come across them, you’d be able to decipher what they mean without looking into a dictionary, or surfing through Google for help. We good? Yeah? Great! Did you miss the recent class? NB: At the end of each word’s meaning, we added “making a statement” example. However, those example isn’t the limitation for usage of that particular word. There are thousands (if not millions) of sentences you can involve those words with/in. The examples were given for easy notation, so feel free to liberate the usage in your everyday conversations. Meaning/Breaking down;
1. Antecedent

Meaning; “(Greek mythology) a Titan who was forced by Zeus to bear the sky on his shoulders” OR “A collection of maps in book form” OR “The 1st cervical vertebra” OR “A figure of a man used as a supporting column” OR “A bound collection of tables, illustrations, etc. on any subject”

4. Disseminate
Meaning; “Cause to become widely known“.

5. Gruesome
Meaning; “Shockingly repellent; inspiring horror“.
Making a statement;
Were you pleased by our rather GRUESOME discovery?
6. Harness
Meaning; “A support consisting of an arrangement of straps for holding something to the body (especially one supporting a person suspended from a parachute)” OR “Stable gear consisting of an arrangement of leather straps fitted to a draft animal so that it can be attached to and pull a cart” OR “Exploit the power of” OR “Control and direct with or as if by reins” OR “Keep in check“.

Thoughts cannot be united, but to HARNESS all these thoughts together is what we need!
7. Hoax
Meaning; “Something intended to deceive; deliberate trickery intended to gain an advantage“.
Making a statement;
Our health is too important to be controlled by an Internet HOAX.
8. Jinx
Meaning; “Our health is too important to be controlled by an Internet hoax.” OR “An evil spell” OR “Cast a spell over someone or something; put a hex on someone or something” OR “Foredoom to failure“.
Making a statement;
A Manchester United boy [supporter] JINXED Liverpool not to win match against Barcelona.
9. Judice
Meaning; “Before a judge or court of law; awaiting judicial determination”.
Making a statement;
With respect to all classes of Mexican grants, it may be said that they were sub JUDICE until the title had been established.
10. Lopsided
Meaning; “Having one side lower, smaller or lighter than the other” OR “Turned or twisted toward one side“.
Making a statement;
Amaka’s lips twisted into a LOPSIDED smile.
